replace ads with art

   We just released 0.5.3 today, so be sure to update to see the new art.

   How to update:
   Sometimes you'll be notified of an update automatically. If you want it to happen right now, do the following:

   1. In Firefox click on Tools in the menubar. Then choose add-ons
   2. A window with a list of all your plugins will appear. Click on "Find Updates" in the bottom left corner.
   3. Once you see that an update is available, click the "Install Updates" button and let it download.
   4. Once the plugin is downloaded, click on the "restart Firefox" button.

   Of all the great art out there to choose from, we get what looks to be Ads from the 1990's for computer software.

   How very very lame.

   I've addressed this before... yes, here it is:

   “If you hate the artwork, there is a way you could turn it off until the show was over,” Mr. Lambert said. “I don’t make money from this, so if it bothers some people, that’s O.K. Art should bother some people.”

   Can I get back to 0.5.2?

   No 0.5.3 doesn't bother me, I just like 0.5.2 better.

   it's not recommended, because we roll new features into the new versions, but 0.5.3 only changed the art. So, here it is: http://add-art.org/extension/addart0.5.2.xpi

   But be sure to update to 0.5.4 and future versions as we're going to be changing the way the art is delivered and adding some features that will help better credit the artists.

   Thanks for that.

   A really nice feature would be the ability to save the shows and switch between them, so I can get the new features but still go back to older shows, when I feel like it. Of course that would annoy people with limited disk space, so it would need some way to manage the collections.

    This is a great idea and I love it but I've just re-installed the older version and gone back to the japanese art, as I too, thought the computer art was boring. Not actually art at all.
    Maybe the exhibitions shouldn't last as long?
    Or we could choose from exhibitions, and download accordingly?
