we are displaying art. Go here and you should see some strange banners:

if it is working.

I didn't say you weren't displaying art. I said it wasn't working for me.
I have blocked the ads but am not getting art.I went to that website and do not see banners. I see boxes with red dots in them. Is that where the banners should go?

At the top you asked if we are displaying art.
Boxes with red dots... Red dots in the top left of the banner?

Now I am getting the "broken picture" icon

Ok, for some reason the path to the images is not working for you. Do you have Firefox installed in your applications folder?
Posted 11 months ago # -
The browser I am currently using is Mozilla Firefox 3.5.3
Posted 11 months ago # -
Great, is it installed in your applications folder?
Posted 11 months ago # -
It is installed in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

ok, so that's not the problem.
Just to be clear, I don't know exactly why this is happening for you. I can tell you some basic troubleshooting tips if you are interested, but I can't guarantee that following them will relieve your frustration.
That said...
What I would do is uninstall Add-Art and AdBlockPlus, then download them and install them again. You will have to update AdBlockPlus once you do, and probably resubscribe to a filter list. Should take you all of 5-10 minutes. See what happens and let me know.
Beyond that, you may have some weird configuration problem or running an incompatible plugin I'm not aware of. At this point, I am only guessing. The problem you are having has never been reported before, so I am assuming it is somehow related to your machine - but I don't know enough to be certain.
Good luck,
SL

Hi Steve,
I follow up on schulmanart's post since I am having the exact same problem. Running Firefox 3.5.4, on a MacBook, just installed AddArt (and thus AdBlock as well). AdBlock is working insofar that I don't get any ad. Instead, I just get nothing, white areas. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling AdBlock and AddArt, even uninstalling other add-ons. Nothing so far has worked... Any idea? Is there somewhere I can check the images get downloaded at least? I can't seem to find them in

I meant
~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/cx2fms8q.default/extensions/development@add-art.org/
By the way, great idea!Posted 10 months ago # -
do you see anything on the left and right side of this page?
http://flashgot.net/Posted 10 months ago # -
yes, google ads. somehow i have just seen my first art added to a page, on the lalibre.be website. so it partially works...
but it still doesn't with either of
http://flashgot.net/
or
http://www.unixtimestamp.com/index.php
Any idea?Posted 10 months ago # -
It s quite weird, it really does work for some websites, but very few. Otherwise, for most of them, I see blank spaces.
Posted 10 months ago # -
not sure. those work for me. I don't have enough info to help further unfortunately...

I dont see any art on the mentioned sites either. Running FF 5.5.5 on Max OS 10.6.2. All I see is the background element behind the places the add/art should be.
