Not possible just yet. We made that a lower priority because the general consensus among the programmers was that it would be a little weird.

Is it possible to link to new URLs with Add-Art once you've replaced the existing ad? Say...if you were to click an image to find out more about it and it would take you to the artist/institutions homepage?

but it's probably an issue with corrupt preferences for firefox in os x. I would do a thorough google search.

I installed add-art on two mac laptops and now both are having problems with firefox shutting down.
i don't know if it is because of add-art or adblock but i would like to remove them both anyway. please can you tell me how to do this because i can't find anything in your FAQs or forum to help me with this.
Thanks!

Yes, that is on the Adblock Plus end of things.
http://adblockplus.org/en/

Also, if you want to complicate your perspective check out these links:

Not sure if you mean turn the link off or turn Add-Art off so I will answer both.

Links:
We don't have control over where the links go to. We're looking into it. In the meantime, I suggest not clicking on the links.

How to turn it on and off:
You'll want to use Adblock Plus for that. Here's some links:
http://adblockplus.org/en/faq_basics#disable
If you're disabling it often, you might want to add the AdBlock Plus icon to your toolbar:
http://adblockplus.org/en/faq_customization#toolbar_add

Good?

It occurred to me that this is probably an adblock plus issue, not an add-art issue. Sorry.

This extension is great. I'll definitely use it, but why does it replace the ad with a dead image? Why doesn't the image remain a link to the advertiser? Ads are annoying, but they pay the bills for a lot of people. If ad-clicks dry up completely the advertisers will go away. Why not have the mouse-over tooltip of the image pull the description of the linked page? Have a heart, guys.

I installed, it's quite interesting. It replaces the ad with an image, but the link from the ad is still active. Is there a way to toggle the application on and off?
