What we are actually planning for is to expand the number of curators. We want to make it so that there are lots of different providers of art for add-art. That way, you don't have to trust our idea of what art is. (I'm not a huge fan of some of the past shows either.) The work is more documentary in style - the appearance of this work over the past week during my time on the web has been an ongoing experience of the unexpected - the work blurs the lines between the editorial images on various news sites such as nytimes or salon - it is odd and indeed a bit jarring to see "professional" news photography contrasted with what are essentially snapshots taken by an artist infiltrating these national events of political theater. I keep finding myself being surprised by these images and their forced connections to news imagery - last night the one of the chubby convention goer was staring longingly at the image of Obama giving his historic acceptance speech.
